Meserete Hiwot Fund

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Meserete Hiwot (stands for Basis for Life in Amharic). As the name Meserete Hiwot (Basis for Life) indicates, our Meserete Hiwot Fund (MHF) is aimed at providing youth with skills, trainings, materials, and equipment that are necessary and basic to starting once own life in future. It is an after-school program for youth from age 19 to 22, and provides a series of activities that enhance the young person. It provides career guidance, job readiness training, job placement and bursaries for further learning. This is targeted at young adults with a matric or equivalent between the ages of 19-29yrs.  It is a way of making sure that no-one falls through cracks after completing their high school education. The children continue to grow toward economic empowerment.

This fund specifically focuses on youth empowerment and young adulthood care which gears to leadership development and vocational skills training to enable them to become self-reliant. The project aims at empowering the youth in social, economic and leadership aspects of youngsters and strives to help young adults to emerge from poverty, go to college or vocational training center and come back to their community as true leaders or getting the necessary skills training to generate incomes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1551109501362{background-color: #eaeaea !important;}”][vc_column_text]OUR CORE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

The program aims at providing training to the youth on different vocational skills such as; Hairdressing, Driving, Sewing, Handcrafting, Small Business Management Skills, Plumbing, Construction, Electrical Installation, and Sanitary Installation. Higher Education Support

Through this youth development program, SHAPEthiopia focuses on youngsters who are attending higher education in Universities and Colleges in the country.
